In the years Trabants were produced after the Berlin Wall came down Trabants were very hard to sell. This lot of both 2-stroke 601's and VW Polo engined 4-stroke 1.1's shows that. The 1.1's below were delivered to dealerships only to be returned.

In the years after the fall of the Berlin Wall Trabants became completely worthless, and
many Trabants received the undeserving treatment of the car above
